Put the collar washer in there and a carb from Definative Dave and it actually pull starts on choke. Instead of bottle feeding it.[emoji37]

I ordered two of the 371/372 deal of the day specials to grind on they are single ring which i prefer the huztl are double if they are as nice as the huztl kits i will be happy.

Huztl ms440 cylinder I should add. The top of the cylinder is machined so the squish gap is larger around the perimeter than it is 1/4 in from the perimeter. Good cylinder to mess with.

I'm looking for a cheapish firewood saw and thought I would try one of these builds. I'm ok mechanically, or at least stubborn, but I am a little worried about the safety concerns.

Is there any reason to think that these clone saws wouldn't be able to pass the safety standards set by OSHA? I'm not so concerned about the noise or emissions, but I would like to have a saw doesn't have a ton of kickback or where the chain brake could fail. Anyone have any experience with this, I would appreciate the help.

I don't have any experience with the stihl clones These saws are unlicensed clones and don't have any certification i bought two 365 husky clones and converted them to 372 i have run one a lot lately all safety's work properly and they accept husqvana part's so their emissions if that's what you mean would be comparable to oem.

I think for peace of mind, when I finally get around to ordering one to play, that brake parts will be on the list of oem items that get installed.

There were some problems noted with the functioning of the chain brake on the 660 clones. Don't know if they apply to 440, but I would not assume they meet any standards.

I havnt noticed any problems with the chain brakes on the two 361s I built.[emoji106]
