The aircraft nuts are a pinch thread nut. Fastenal should also carry them

if you think Harley bolts are expensive....wait till you pay for anything that says "Beechcraft" or "Cessna" on it...( each part has a PN stamped on it and a 20 yr product liability suit just waiting for its failure call up)

Loctite? Yeah I use it. Low strength for saws... It's only to 300* but it still has a "grip" when i take out muffler bolts...

Have you any idea if the aircraft bolts cost more than the cylinder ??? just because i cant decide what to buy the bolts or the cylinder :risas3:

Now that's something to ponder .At one time McCulloch motors made engines used in ultra lights .Would those need FAA approval ? If I'm not mistaken Franklin who I think made engine for the early Piper cubs was essentially a Ford Model A .But the parts had to be approved for use in same at about quadruple or more the price .

Now this I do know from my tractor pulling days are spark plugs .I had the hottest heat range 18 mm plug I could find for a John-Deere model A at 4 bucks a pop .The next up was aircraft at 19 bucks a pop .

can't use the cylinder without the bolts...But you can use the bolts without the cyl ..... :aaaaa:
No the oem cylinder with the oem bolts for sure cost more cheap than the avionics bolts
