Just finished almost total darkness here. Rather impressive to say the least. Streetlights came on. It lasted about 2 minutes. Now it's getting brighter. The shadows seemed fuzzy as it got darker. A few farmers phoned in that their chickens went to take roost in the hen house. I recall 1954 in central Indiana that the same thing happened there on grandpa's farm. Temperature dropped about seven degrees. Eerie is a good word to describe it.

Now we can all get back to normalcy.

I was able to prune some branches during the eclipse and I made a new 30" chain for my Stihl 046 Mag and sharpened another. So, all was not lost. My dog slept through the whole thing. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler after more rain comes through tonight. Maybe I can get some logs split.

We had a bit over two minutes of total eclipse. There were a few high Cirrus clouds but they were a non issue.
The lead in was erie. The darkness had an ominous feel and the halo around the sun was something I didn't expect.
It was pretty impressive. I'm glad I had the opportunity to watch it, in its entirety.

I live well off the beaten track, about 20 miles from the centerline of the Eclipse
The groupies are starting to arrive.
Reminds me of the parking lot at a Grateful Dead concert..........or worse. Lots of Tie dye and dreads. No evidence of personal hygiene.
I've had to evict several groups, who sat up camp next to the creek that runs through my property.
They don't ask before moving in and get indignant when you make them leave.
It's gonna be a long weekend......

You got to be kidding me!! The sun shined all day here!

I worked outside all side. I never realized the thing happened. Lol
We supposedly had about 70 percent of the eclipse. Go figure. Lol

It was cloudy off and on here and could easily be missed! but I got a couple looks at it . At the most It was covering the sun by 75 percent here anyway.
