Echo Guide Bars - Are They Made by Oregon?

In nz the echos come with sugi hara . I can buy sugi hara cheaper than Oregon out here and the quality is vastly superior.

I guess they ship the saws out from Japan to a place in each country that then puts a bar in the box from the local bar supplier? Or why send oregons to Japan just to have them sent back, but in the saw box? Maybe Echo has a factory in USA?

Echo makes alot of stuff in the USA, most of the homeowner stuff for sure. My CS-400 is USA, CS-500P and 303T are Japan. All three appeared to have Oregon bars when new.

A whole lot of bars fit into a shipping container . . . , and nowadays shipping in quantity is not as expensive as You may think once You break the cost up per each item shipped.
