th

ex boost ports, the small port is a ex port, 1 on each side of the ex main port. it allows you to have a wide ex and wide primary transfer

Very impressive Joe
Couldn’t agree more!!
Thanks fellas. I'm pretty happy with the way this 50mm version turned out.

Time will tell how well it holds up. But don't see anything concerning.

The billet jug will go on a different saw so I will have a benchmark to compare against.

It's a little spendy, but plating would be nice and easy. Pretty cool how that worked out. Nice job Joe.
Yeh, but I don't see much benift over a cast iron sleeve. Sleeve will cost like 15$ I can bore/ hone it my self. Why not try.

I can transfer the ports with a paper in the jug. Wrap that around the outside of the sleeve. Rough cut the ports before putting the sleeve in.
Looking good Joe!
Thanks Joey.

Only thing I'm not sure about is weather I take it to 52mm or sleeve it to 50?

With this jug I can't go wide on the exhaust...

Thinking I may be able to eek out 50mm with a sleeve in the stock jug :)

I'll whittle on one of them when I get some time...

I’m with you Joe, try the 50mm route first. Prime example is the husky 365 vs 372. Your work is phenomenal. Truly enjoy your thinking, time, efforts and the sharing of such an awesome build.
Appreciate it Joey.

Slightly over .040 wall thickness "should" do. Believe I have a hunk of cast iron to turn a sleeve out of. What's the worst that can happen??

Haven't checked it, but the taper on the transfer roofs. They should be down in the 120's :)

Oversizing the bore should lower the transfers and make the area smaller. Not a bad side effect in your case.

I ran my 620 last Friday, can imagine the same saw with more cc’s. Echo/Shindawa did well on this saw platform, yet you are improving that, WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE? :D

52mm or bust lmao. Either way you go I think it will be cool. Looking forward to seeing more.
See with the sleeve I can pop it out and go bigger later.

50mm sleeve will allow better port timing(imo) and a bit better case compression. With no ring of death..

The exhaust is already small on 50mm just be worse on 52...

Now If I can get the stock jug to hold 50mm I could get a wider exhaust... than this jug.
