I only have one saw of a given model, but sometimes I wish I had more than just one. Maybe in case the one ever wears out to have a replacement ready to go, or for spare parts to keep another going, or to mod in a slightly different manner and compare. I'm sure some of us have more than one of something. Post up what saws you have duplicates of and why you love to keep more than one.

I have a pair of MOFO 262s and a pair of Rattler 288s. I have one ported 371 and would add a second in a flash if I ran across the right one. The 288s have different cylinders (KS/mahle) and slightly different port jobs. The 262s have very different port work (one has fingers etc.). I enjoy running each of them as they all have their own individual personalities.

15502037601701991257265.jpg Two 066's for me. One a flat top, and the other a bubble top. Stihl has a plan to discontinue all 1122 parts starting in 2021. The 66 is a fine model and i perfer it over all the newer mtronic saws. So i own 2 of them so i can balance the hours of use between 2 saws so they last longer

Interesting, how would you describe the personalities of the two 262s? Is one stronger but more peaky, does one have more torque or a wider lower band?

In life I have always just worked off of the motto,

Two is one, One is none.

I always try and have two of everything. Most of the time $$$$$ gets in the way of that.
That is very true. Especially with tools. I probly have 4 of some tool in tool box.

I have duplicate 262's, 10mm 044's, and 036 Supers. 1 of each ported and 1 stock. The 262 is the first saw that gave me the "wow" factor, and I had to have 1 ported. The other is a KS/87 also but is being restored to almost new condition. I guess I like the classics, especially those saws with a reputation or were the predecessor of other saws, kinda like they ran so good with a little modification that they decided to make their own line out of the modified one like the 034S to the 036, but they kept there own little niche like weight to power. The 044 speak for themselves, but the earlier ones were the best runners IMO. But the more I experiment with more brands of saws, the more I see there are more classics out there than I have money to collect!!

Duplicates in 50cc only. They do 80% or more of the work; and, if I am cutting with somebody who needs a saw, they get a 50cc. 1-260 and 2-346s for me. If my 660 goes down, the 064 is an adequate sub; if the 064 goes down, the 660 or 460 can take over; if the 361 goes down, the 346 or 044 can step in, etc.
