I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that has been annoyed by the lack of dual spikes on the 6100.
@Wilhelm and I were messaging back and forth, and this came up right after he got his 6100.
A couple of days later he sends me a message with this idea.

The Dolmar PS-550 / Makita EA5600 clutch cover fits perfectly with just a minor mod.

The built in nub for the roller catch has to go.

The Euro style 6100 inner spike is the same as the stock 550 / 5600 spike. Fits right on. The stock outer 550 / 5600 spike lines up with the inner.

This is AWESOME!!!!
Now where can I find that cover. I didn't see the PS-550 listed on Nate's site.
The PS-550 is the Makita EA5600 here in the US Wayne. Some strings were pulled to get a hold of the one I have. One of the Euro boys may be able to help out, unless you’re ok with it saying Makita.

I figured as much lol.

Depending on cost I might not care what it says lol.

Hey @SOS Ridgerider how did the tank get busted?
I bought the saw with the tank already busted. Probably either dropped or had a log roll on it. The rest of the saw is in pretty good shape, and p/c is pristine. The price was right, even for needing a tank.

Very nice. Will it fit with a full wrap?

It should, nothing changes enough to interfere with a full wrap.

But Sondre @SOS Ridgerider can tell for certain since he has a 6100 with full wrap himself.
It will fit a saw with a full wrap, but you’ll need to trim a little bit off the skirt where the roller catch would sit.
The cover needs to come down just a little more.
The 6100 cover doesn’t have this skirt at all, so you could just cut the whole thing off, and it’ll look more like the stock one, or trim off just enough to comfortably fit it.
There is already an identical cover in the works for my full wrap saw :D
That one will be modified just enough to where I can easily get it on and off.

Now, finding a teal one is looking like a difficult task. @Wilhelm posted the correct part numbers, but finding a place that sells it isn’t so easy.

As you can see; it just needs a little bit taken off. The bar studs are already halfway through the cover, towards the barnuts, but the cover needs to come down maybe 1/4” to make it sit straight and let the nuts engage with the bar studs.
