Anybody have a 7300/7310 piston or P&C they want to part with? Need a piston and not really in love with my aftermarket options.

Thought someone might have one from a 7900 top end conversion they would part with.

Thanks!

I stumbled across ur message yesterday. Y dont u just accept the one @StuntCockWelder offered u? He seems legit.

There is no way I would accept a new P&C from him. That would be totally unfair to expect someone to shell out that much money for a saw that just needs a piston. It would be different if it was intentional, but not for something unintentional. Although I do appreciate the offer.

The second reason is that I have new Caber 50mm rings but a saw with a bad piston. I would like to play with the saw as a 7310 before converting it to a 7910.

That leaves me 2 options. An aftermarket piston, which for this saw there are only a few choices, none of which I like, but they are very inexpensive. Or a new OEM piston for $100 that is 2/3 the price of a 7910 P&C.

That is enough money to where, although I guess fair to replace the damaged piston, I will not ask the seller to spend that much money.

I have a Hyway piston on the way, but do not like that option as much as the OEM piston. I would rather have a USED OEM piston in this case than a NEW aftermarket.

Does that answer your question?

The hyway you ordered is probably a Golf. I'm running one in a ported 7900 and it seems ok. But I hear where you're coming from. I'd bet it'll be fine for the time being until you get your new kit on.

It probably will be fine. I should have the parts Monday, hope to have time to put it back together. Like you said, probably be fine.

In reality, the stock 7300/7900 piston is no beauty. The slab sided "10" series is a little better

EDIT: I only see golf 731o pistons available. Someone isn't telling the truth.

I don’t think it’s an actual hyway product. But is being labeled as such. Last hyway top end I bought had hyway cast into the cylinder and H on the piston

I think it is a golf by the picture. As long as it holds up for a while I will be happy.
