Haven't had any luck locating a replacement cylinder for the 7300, so been pondering a BB kit.

Emailed Weedeaterman a few times, but there's been no response. I've read his supplier was HL Supply. Is there any reason I shouldn't by from another seller offering those kits? I also see NWP kits $50-$60 cheaper than Baileys. Am I over thinking this and just purchase a BB kit to toss on and try out?

NWP kits are not worth puchasing imo, a friend has had bad luck with them and I have heard the same from others, the chasis does has better case volume with the 7300 P&C then with a 7900 P&C, atleast that's what I have been told, just got my 7910 ported by MMWS and I think my 7300 will be done for Saturday from T4driller, guess we will find out.

Second picture says Mahle 52ZK10 on the cylinder base.
I could be wrong but that indicates a 52mm cylinder bore which would make it a PS-7900 cylinder.

PS-7300 is 50mm, after market big bore is 54mm.

Piston is scored, would need a new piston kit.
I think the Buy Now price is too high in that ad.

Thanks for pointing that out, Wilhelm. It got me thinking, since that is also what my cylinder has written on it, so went ahead and measured the cylinder. It is indeed 50mm. Would have been nice if the eBay cylinder was 52mm! [emoji2]

I agree, the BIN price is too high. Gonna wait it out a few days and see if a minimum bid will do the trick.

I did say that I could be wrong! ;)

I have a NIB OEM Dolmar PS-7900 P&C kit, if I don't forget I'll dig out pictures of it or take a look at the cylinder and see what it says.

Might also try to see whether the markings are visible on an assembled saw, if so might take a look at my three girls cylinder bases.

Did your 7300 get completed?

Currently the P/C is still at $40, with no bids and more than a day left on the auction. The belly button and I are still pondering making a bid. More than likely will, though.

I already have a piston handy, bought one when I got the saw, but didn't think I'd have to replace the cylinder this soon. So the hunt began.

Here's a few more pics of the cylinder from eBay. Didn't see any scoring but looks like there's some pitting.

That may be a 52mm bore. I think the extensions are thicker on the 50mm.
