I am not sure if they are NOS or what, all I know is they are brand new and I got them from Germany, I was lucky to find a contact there and we have done a few transactions now and they have went great.
Did you find some old stock, since the boxes still state "Mad in Germany" ?

My pair of solo twins, I call them that cause they are serial number 1 apart from each other, the other 2 I had here were different serial numbers all together, one of the three that just came was 1 number earlier then the first saw I ordered, so I kept that one for myself.15576074699867272045531542140423.jpg 15576074900717270142825416169066.jpg 15576075013291234440474916351259.jpg

Reaching out for help to you makita guys. I have a pretty clean 6421. It just quit oiling. Ive checked the drive is ok, the lines are clear. All i can get out of it is just some random spurts every so often, nowhere near enough to oil the chain in the wood. Are the oil pumps prone to failure on these? Do i just need to bite the bullet and buy a new pump and lines. Or is there something else i should check first

The control bolt is plastic, as well as the nub on the end, and the nub wears off. Out of 20 that I've worked on 3 needed an oiler rebuild

Well i just ordered a rebuild kit along with new oil lines and a new clutch bc some oaf compromised it getting it off. (May have been me lol). Need to modify a sparkplug socket like ive seen in other threads to make that job easier.

Finally got a few minutes to get back on my build....
Forgot that I lent out my belt sander, had to use this instead.

You're not alone. I've oafed 2 of them. Make the tool fit tight to the hub

An angle grinder with an 80 grit silicon carbide disc is an acceptable substitute

Just saying...
