Wilhelm, I am offended at your hatred of the smurf, it's an outrage :D
It is not hatred!
It is a dislike of fake things and the smurfs are fake on the outside being true redheads in their souls. ;)

Now look at it!

That's nice, but she'd be burning through that table if she were red. :)

You said the the red Makita needs a couple stickers, the smurf Makitas only need 1 sticker.
I already am a joke running Dolmar saws, even more so for having close to a dozen of them.
A sticker like that would place me in the loony ward. :p

One of mine does have a sticker, it's not a smurf sticker though.

Fired up the blacktop 64xx Smurf today. Ran great for ten seconds then died. Restart revved fine, idled for a few seconds...died. Then it started snowing again....said f-word it....went back inside. Old man winter is a real b-word(fatherless child) sometimes...much like father time.

Stopped snowing. Went back out. Pulled the coil to check wiring, insulation and what not. Wires look good. Coil wasn't as tight (mounting bolts)as it should be. Cleaned the crud off put it back together...runs fine. Ill run it for a few days and see how it does. Maybe an intermittent problem? We'll see. Probably needs a 79xx top end after that.

Why, You want some? :p
All You have to do is ask.

Lol you guys are funny. Makita and dolmar is just like gmc and chevy trucks. Rebadged with different styling. Same for jonsered and husky. That’s all.
It's really all just dolmar
Exactly, thank You very much. ;)

Don't get me wrong I still love the red ones too, but the blue ones are the bees knees
If we'd all have the same preferences the world would basically be black & white.
Each to his own, live and let live. :)

That is a beautiful saw You have there, I wouldn't mind having one.
Believe it or not, the teal never caught on here in Croatia.
With the rebranding, color change and complete suspension of the Dolmar brand Makita basically boycotted their market presence and brand recognition in my area.
I generally don't even really care, I have enough saws to last me the rest of my life.

Cheers

It looks like if you start at the bottom, it will just slide out? So you only have to do a few inches.
It won't! ;)
One has to do uncrimp at least 2/3s to 3/4th then the halves can be pried open and apart.

I did three of these, the first one sucked doing, the other two were easy.
I use a side cutter, much more control and fluent as one goes around the crimp.
