What's not to like about triplets? :)

Triplets count as one with triple the fun - and I have four of them! :D

I recently almost got a PS-7910, opportunity passed by as I have other plans with expanding my flock.

I just missed another 6401 smurf by a day. $200 runner at that. All because I didn't feel like driving an hour each way in the torrential thunderstorms we were having. Shame shame shame. Would've looked nice with the rest of the flock. The poor red headed step child would have felt really out of place, but that is the inevitable anyways... IMG_6958.JPG

Ok so I’m gonna wake this thread up again. I have a stock 7910 with a muffler mod that is a friend’s and I’m modding it about the same I did my 7900. I decided to get a baseline performance video in comparison to a modded 365/372xt and my 7900. I used a 8 pin to better show where the power is. The wood is smaller than I’d like but that’s the biggest I can lift into my truck bed. Lol.
FYI the 365/372xt was about 8 seconds slower stock than my 7900 with a 24 buried in oak. So it’s gained quite a bit with mods. The 7900 was about 1.5 seconds faster than the other two with noticeably more torque.

@Adirondackstihl Jeremy, did you ever design a bumper strip to replace the spikes on the 64-7900 series saws? Have you ever considered it?
No sir I haven’t......yet.
I’m still transitioning from the divorce and stuffs. Once I get completely settled I’ll have time to tinker

I don't believe you have a 7910 there. But rather a 6400/6421 with a 7910 cylinder.

They have different Crank, coil, and SLR Exhaust as well.

Here is a Dolmar PS-7910 (Makita EA7900)
Yes that is correct sir, I just called it a “7910” to simplify the video title. It’s probably a bit ahead of a stock 7910 if I had to guess... considering it has a gutted 7900 muffler (no birdcage) that can actually breathe and the higher rpm coil that makes it easier to tune.
