I became frustrated with the bar oil cap that I couldn’t budge with my fingers and had to walk to get my wrench. Not a big deal but since I had just dyed some aftermarket caps for my 2172 black, I thought why not? I had an extra set and boiled some water and RIT dye and an hour later they are black.

Another member here had used some Husky caps before so this isn’t a new idea.
You don’t carry a wrench in you pocket when cuttin?

Not today. I didn’t have extra gas or oil either. I just went out to see if my Oiler mod helped. I stopped to see how much was left and that’s when I couldn’t.

It seemed to help though. It was oiling my 28” well. Much better than before.

Mine didn’t do so great. I opened the holes up my sugi and I thought that might help (a little). This helped big time. I didn’t go too extreme.

Mine oiled a 24 better than my 046/461 did but I wanted a little more “insurance” for a 32” if I wanted to run that. I took off just enough off the ramp so oil used is about 1:1 with gas now turned up to max. Pisses oil off a 24 now.

I have a saw or two for every bar size I have. No need to do that lol
