Randy's input is much appreciated. Makes me feel like I'm making good choices. The thick plate is in between the two back shells.

Yup, bring yourself along too
Bring it on.
Cool!

Good thing Dolmar's are no boat anchors, as such they won't pull me under water as I swim across the pond. :p

I would love to attend one of these shindigs. :aplastao:

Wilhelm, Some one could loan you a dolkita to run I'm sure
That would not be the same though.
Currently I'd want to bring my PS-7310 along, I'd even slap the PS-7900's starter assembly on her just so she may enter the shootout. ;)

Then again, give me a functional Home Depot PS-6400 and I'd be just as happy cutting cookies with her.
I could always bring my own chain and muffler along. :)

It is like driving a powerful sports car, if You have the power to do so You'll do something stupid eventually.

I don't own a powerful car, I don't need a sporty saw either - yes I do, yes I do ... View attachment 145866

I could say it's like cutting with a dull knife vs a sharp one, Hahahaha. Much safer to have a sharp knife, right? :)

We are having fun, nothing serious here Sir. No insults meant to your saws, their power, or the sharpness of the chains.
No worries, I wasn't feeling insulted.
I should have included a smiley in my previous post, just didn't think of it. ;)

I am aware that there is more power to be tweaked out of my saws and better cutting performance to be had out of my chains, but since I am not hunting after every 1/10 of a second I find my saws and chains performance satisfying. :)

That's a strong running 7310. I have a friend that would say, there's plenty of life left in that chain, but he runs them until a tooth breaks off.
Amateur!

I toss a chain only after there are no more teeth left standing. :D
Or in the last two TriLink loop cases, when the loop snaps.

For reference I never had a Dolmar/Oregon loop break on me, I prefer their chains.
