This thing is pretty impressive in hickory. It could be leaned another 1/4 turn on the H easy. Fixed another modded zama. Both needed complete clean and rebuilt. New throttle butterflies on both carbs.

When it breaks in good it should be even better[emoji51]

No they still have the plastic bolt. The oiler is easy enough to disassemble and rebuild I’m not complaining though. The only ones I saw failed were on higher hour saws.

Yup, both oiler lines are green for the updated ones. The black ones leak like exxon valdez. Lol

Probably. I've run a Stihl large mount on my 6401 without an adapter. It does look a little funny with the end of the bar sitting up due to the large slot and smaller studs...but it oiled fine.

This saws oiler was good but while I have it apart... steepened the ramp a touch.... why not lol.

I use a mini dremel cutoff disc on the low side of the ramp to increase stroke (about .010 steeper) and go over it with 320 grit after. You do not want a ruff surface or burrs at all!

Bad news... pto side has play. Rebuild time. Glad I had it apart. Always check it when you can. It was a rental saw originally. Which explains things lol.

That’s the one I don’t have but want. Maybe that will be next year’s gift to myself. Nice saw.

I fired up the 7300 for my buddy. He brought me an MS180, MS291, MS290 to look over and fix.

I think the 7300 scared him, I don't think he is all about dat powa. And the MS291 either went lean or was straight gassed, he said he ran great right before it died.

He said how long is that blade, I said 28"
