I don’t recommend doing what I do lol. I always wear some sort of ppe logging. Not usually cutting cookies, I should. I just relaxed my standards.
You ain’t alone, we all do it. I had 4 36” diameter oak to noodle today, it was 91*, didn’t bother digging the chaps out. I’m older than you and should know better. We all do it.

I will mention guys that I also had to replace the washer under the clutch drum in this saw, when they are worn out the chain will creep at idle more easily sometimes. I forget how much it is but its not an expensive part to buy. I had to do to it to some of the other ones I worked on too.

I wouldn’t run a 9 pin on these saws for work though. Beats on the clutch and pto bearing over time. Fine for play cookie cutting or testing though.

What's the matter with the Dolly piston? Why the Stihl 046 piston?
Nothing really wrong with the oem piston. @mdavlee says the skirts are wider on the 46 piston and it is taller which allows him to port it differently if I understand right. Cons that I can think of are it requires a spacer and the piston is heavier. All I know is that this saw runs real nicely though.

This thing is pretty impressive in hickory. It could be leaned another 1/4 turn on the H easy. Fixed another modded zama. Both needed complete clean and rebuilt. New throttle butterflies on both carbs.
