Stihl scrench wouldn't fit in the cylinder bolt holes. Is that a drill or a lathe? I don't know. I do know poor people have poor ways!

Cleaned up the muffler and gave it some gills. It's pretty swampy here....might give me an edge.

Trimmed the limiter (was only on hi side). Fire up in 3 pulls. Set it pretty rich. Clearly 4 stroking. Sure cuts! My only regret is not getting the 79xx p&c sooner.

I had my 7910 top end for a couple years before finally breaking down and tearing into a good running saw. Have no regrets, even at 64cc it still makes a lot of people who drink the stihlaid around here question their realities.

Thanks to Kevin @huskihl and Nate @fordf150 I have a perfectly fine take off 47mm P&C kit if I ever mess up the one on my saw.

That been said, my PS-7300 & PS-7310 will not see any upgrade related teardown's either - they just run too well.

I have a OEM NIB NOS 52mm PS-7900 P&C kit, and a NIB AM 54mm P&C kit (thank You Sondre @SOS Ridgerider ) - if it is up to me I hope to never have to use either of them.

Bigger is not always better!
Although having more power can be fun.

My first Makita. I was debating about it for awhile. There are almost none in these parts. I have 7 production days on it now, and so far, I absolutely love it. Pulled the extensive baffle system out, and opened up the muffler, and I like it a lot. The best stock air filter system that I have used. I made my own foam pre-filter that seems to work much better than the felt one. Am running a 32 on it. Hopefully it’ll hold up, but I don’t really see why it won’t have a good working life.
