What do you guys like to do with this exhaust port? Never seen one like it

Kinda depends on how much you took off the base. And what you're gonna use the saw for. At 102, you may have to leave some of it. At 96 you may be able to get rid of the horizontal rib, but still have a rib running in and out on top and buttom

I do that to rough in, after the base is done you can adjust like huskihl says. Keeps you safe and makes finishing easy. Leave the lip intact where it is all the way around the port opening. Cut it once you know timing.

Ridge is still there just blended in to the floor.

That’s what I did to this one too. Also if one is using a 7900 muffler it restricts the larger 7910 port and you must match it. DECA0795-9CE9-409A-A85D-D96F2FDC2A63.jpegD65EA1F4-BC0A-4935-9033-F7365854A47E.jpeg

Only if you keep the stock spacer ring inside the muffler. Even the one from a xx10 gets pretty thin if you get rid of the ribs going in and out.

The 47mm is underrated, everyone is quick to ditch it for the 50 and 52mm. Modded this one and got it to cut with a stock 572xp with a 20” bar. That’s about a 1 hp gain over stock.

D6972C28-08AA-4E4C-B150-F895FBF1D761.jpeg I don’t doubt the 572 will run away from the 64 with a long bar, I already tested that. But with a 20” bar the 64 is stout. It’s not a 7900, but great for a 64cc.

With the kind and generous assistance of @Wilhelm I was able to go against the flow and downsize my bucking spikes to gain back some bar length

Before: Pretty much standard for the big Dollies, bad ass, but for my needs just too much...

After: For the cutting and felling I do what I THINK will give me back some bar length and work out just fine

I am glad You got the spikes safe and sound. :)

Thanks for asking but it was a trade deal with @Wilhelm

If I try these new ones and like them then the old ones go to him for one of his 213 Dolmars...
Take Your time, make sure You like the small spikes.

I have them on my PS-6400 & PS-7300 and like them.
It all depends on the application they are being used to. ;)
