Does 100ll leave a hard residue in carb?

Daughters Father-in-law brought me a carb off WE to fix. Didn't have kit (Ruixing carb). Cleaning it up found hard white residue in carb. He has been running 100ll. Anybody seen this?

I have not seen that before, 100ll will lead foul spark plugs though. It sounds like water in the fuel.

Thanks, you jogged my memory. Was why he switched to 100 he said he had been getting water in the 93 E-free he had been buying. That's why he switched to 100ll.

Just unreal how much trouble modern fuel can cause. Seems like varnish and dirt were the the only sources of carb trouble for the first hundred years. Maybe a leaking gasket here and there.
