Looking for the axle nut torque spec for a 2011 avenger.
I found one th8 g that said 97 foot pounds on google. Thougjt that was a little low so called a auto parts place thats opened and he looked it up and says 160 foot pou ds which sounds more like it to me.
Would any of you know for sure what it is.
Thanks.

If ther over tightened it will ruin the bearing. I wouldnt do it with an impact. Just my 2 cents.

Sadly that is the common practice at most shops. Lol. I snug them with the gun, then half inch breaker bar tight.

Newest SKF guide says 97 ft/lbs for a 2008-2011. NapaProlink told me the same thing. avenger.PNG

I also found 118 ft/lbs on another version of the SKF 457377. NapaProlink also said 118 ft/lbs for a different front bearing assembly. I would shoot for 118 ft/lbs.

I don't hammer em on till they wont go any more...I snug them up then usually go to the next slot on the castle nut to get the cotter pin in...
torque specs on that is kind of useless...one slot in the castle nut could be too loose and the next way over torqued
