I'm sort of on a 3 saw plan:
-
Sachs-Dolmar 108 , 40cc - my small saw, broke a rubber AV the other day while dismantling a walnut tree thus she's currently on sick leave
-
Dolmar PS-6400, 64cc - my ultimate go-to-saw running Stihl Rapid Duro3 carbide loop, fully stock
-
Dolmar PS-7900, 79cc - my big and fun saw, other than muffler mod fully stock
I also own a Dolmar PS-7300 & PS-7310, both run but are still mending from extreme abuse from their previous owners!
The PS-7300 runs extremely well, but has hot restart and idle issues - she's running on the lean side, I have to remove the carb limiters and retune.
The PS-7310 is somewhat unimpressive and sounds terrible to me do to the SLR muffler, I have to muffler mod and retune her.
I also have a sweet little Sachs-Dolmar 105, 40cc top handle, but she's partially disassembled - I really need to put her back together - she's my first gasoline powered saw.
B&C setups that I run/have:
40cc = 14" 3/8" Low Profile
64cc = 20" 3/8"
73cc = 18" 3/8" (PS-7310) / 20" 3/8" (PS-7300)
79cc = 20" 3/8" + 36" 3/8" secondary setup
I also have a newer used 24" 3/8" setup that fits the 64/73/79cc saws, I couldn't resist purchasing it for the price it was listed.
