Yes, this would be unwise.
I don’t believe forgiveness has anything to do with forgetting or that we need to pretend something didn’t happen.
I believe it means finding peace in yourself with the situation, even if that means never having dealings with a person again. At times this is most appropriate.

Forgiveness means much more to me Dan. When you forgive someone, you give them a clean slate. All of their transgressions are wiped away.

What you are describing is something else. You are equating learning to live with someone doing you wrong with forgiveness.

I can live with what happened, and have no intention of retaliation, but I'll never allow the slate to be wiped clean.
