Decomp valve mating surface leak

Got the 441 together, failed the vac and pressure test. Found it leaking around he base of the decomp valve. The OEM cylinder is flat at the mating surface where the Hyway is recessed, countersunk almost like it needs a Oring or something. What do you all suggest to get this to seal up? Thanks

Use Red loctite. I had the same exact problem with mine with the decomp and plug.

With what? If I pick up a bolt thats the right size, What do I use to seal it up?

With one of these, stihl decomp plugs, has a sealing ring.

Try some loctite on the decomp threads. Looks like a copper crush washer would go there. Sometimes the Chinese parts don't fit 100% with OEM parts.

The OEM part number for the plug is 1122 025 2200, I use these plugs on all the decomp Stihls though they don`t list a plug for the 441 as such.

yep.. Picked one up at the local dealer. $6, worked great.
