I got these 3 cylinders with some Stihl parts. I have no idea as what they are or fit.
Need some assistance in helping to identify them. From left to right bore sizes are
55mm, 52mm, 46mm. There are no numbers or markings on them so i'm not
sure if they are aftermarket or not.
Last pic is a filter cover which i think is for an 064, 066. Has casting number inside
911221411005

Thanks for any help.

Lee

They look like they're all husky cylinders. Looks like a 395 cylinder , the 56mm. Probably aftermarket. I'm just getting into huskys so don't take my word fot it!!

390, 272, and 55 husky kit more than likely. If you can't find mahle or a KS stamp they're probably aftermarket.
... or Gilardoni - but I can't recall Gilardoni making cylinders for any of those models (there is a lot I don't know though).

The largest one has to be a 390 one, as no other model that large use a quad with bottom intakes to the transfers. The 395 is a quad, but not that kind of quad, the intakes are in the cylinder walls.

Judging by the light finish- I would say they're aftermarket. A lot of the Chinese cylinders are using chrome plating which adheres to the alloy at a lower temperature, resulting in a lighter color of the cylinder.

Look at the squish bands. See the plating on them (the dots)-Aftermarket, at least the two smaller ones.

All OEM I've seen have unplated chambers.

Does that cause a problem if a guy wants to cut the squish band in one?

I've cut some with the chambers plated. It's a pain but can be done with a steep angle on the cutter to hit the center and start peeling it off. I did a 562 that way. Only dulled one side of my HSS.

What do you do where the ripped plating meets the cylinder interface?

Same thing it does on some cylinders that aren't plated to the top. Sanding mandrel smoothes it. Not had a problem with oem plating chipping there. The later stihl cylinders have a gap of bare aluminum after cutting squish and dropping the cylinder.

I also believe that they are:

1: 390 XP
2: 272 XP
3: 55

Thanks a bunch guys for the info. Looks like dots on the two smaller ones
and no dots on the larger one. I'm guessing all are aftermarket. I'm looking
to move these. Is there any interest. The large one has a piston and pin but
no clips or rings. The small one has piston, pin and the one ring but no clips.
The middle one is cylinder only. Open to offers. I have no use for them.

Just being a pedantic fella here. Have a look at cylinders for solo 690 & 603 (90 cc and 103 cc saws)- while it ain't these, the 390 does not stand alone in this transfer design.

I know very little about those - do you have a picture?

Also, are they quads, and are they pure bottom feeds, or an hybrid where part of the intake is in the cylinder bore (like on the Dolmar 7900).

I will snap a picture of a 690 tomorrow.

Not a hybrid from memory, but a pic will tell better.
