Why is cutting stumps so hard on a saw?is it the dirt that grows into the tree close to ground level.is it the dirt and fines that gets blown around into your saw.is it the heat thats generated so cloe to the ground and repelling back up? Is it because some dont wedge the stump while cutting to keep weight off bar?is it because tree is harder closer to ground? Im corious

Pretty much yes to all of the above. Smaller chains get dull quick and the saw will overheat from revving higher for too long. The hot chain will eventually cook the clutch drum until it gets the crankshaft hot enough to melt the plastic oiler gears.
Sprockets on bar tips don't last very long.

I think he got run off or he assisted in his being run off...I think.
Not for sure. I bought super nice striper jigs from him a few yrs back.
