Critique my chain choices

2139 2.4hp 14" - gonna try 91VXL instead of the PXL that came on it.

2050 16" and 20" .325" 20LPX

49sp has 16" hard nose with some new Stihl .325" semi chisel, don't use it a lot, too nice.

2159 18" 3/8" full chisel

395 has 32" 75DP and JGX. Thinking about getting a 24" and some 73LGX.

Only comment I have is that you'll have no problem with the 395 and 24" lgx. That's what I run on mine as 24" is the longest bar I currently own

I’d recommend getting a .050 gauge bar for the 24” bar. That makes it much easier to find chain.

.058 is pushed pretty hard around here, the husky dealer about an hour from me i dont think stocks anything but .058, funny how different things can be regionally.

Regionally, I’m in the middle of nowhere in the desert in CA. I have to order everything. The bar I’m looking at is .058”.

That’s a chuckle right there. Got my butt kicked with food poisioning last night/today, trying to recover. Maybe I’ll get out to the garage and tinker a bit.

More chain options with .050 and you can get reasonably priced bars from several members on here. One place I use for online chains and bars that has good prices and fast shipping is loggerchain.com
