Did the clutch cover show up yet?
I checked the tracking and it shows it being delivered to Jim yesterday... I had a nice talk with Mike @Glock37 today and he has all the parts (other than the chainbrake/clutch cover/outer spike) in his possession and blasted, and I think we have everything figured out as far as colors go. So things are definitely progressing well.

I've been busier than a two peckered goat on a slip and slide for the last couple days. The clutch cover is here.

The bucking spike is on the newer side.

...a very straight brake flag. 20180525_084212.jpg

Overall it has some nice looking hardware on it. 20180525_083846.jpg

A little bit of chain rash and that's about it. 20180525_083836.jpg

I don't know if the chain rash is a deal breaker or not Clint, so I'll wait your approval before stripping it down.

At this point in the game, it seems like it should be a little nicer than that to go on this particular saw... I wonder if it would be worth trying to weld it up and fix it, or just find another one without the chain rash?

That depends on how easy another one can be found. It looks like a simple weld job to me, but I'm not experienced enough with mag welding to know the difference. Maybe @srcarr52 can give us some advise?

That could be fixed but it’s not really hurting anything as it is now. If it’s going to get powder coated I’d fix it.
It’s getting powdercoated, along with almost every other part on the saw...

Utah, unfortunately.....
I think Mike @Glock37 is waiting to get all the parts in his possession before he starts the powdercoating... the clutch cover is in @srcarr52 ’s hands, and Mike has all the other parts cleaned up and ready to powder.
I welded the cover yesterday. I’ll finish the welds today and get it sent to mike early this week.
Great! I'm excited to see this saw in its fully restored state.
