I bought one of those Huztl 070 kits.
Replaced the top end with an after market cylinder, ported it, Hyway piston and rings, OEM wrist pin bearing, replaced the 070 clutch with a complete OEM 6 shoe 090 setup and a rim sprocket drum wearing an 8 tooth 404 drive.
It went great but the vibration was really bad.
I have been slowly accumulating the parts I need to convert it to AV and today it got done.
I had to chop some of the Series 2 front AV mount casting off the front of the saws case, make a longer throttle rod and so a bit of bending and bashing of the old handle which was knocked up to get it to line up.

I now have a very usable saw :)

Got a vid Tony?

Only the one below and it’s not a good video.
That dead log is so hard it destroyed Oregon 404 chain in the 3 cuts.
Also when it came offload under throttle, the vibration was painful.
You see me near let go of the saw a couple times.

I will be at a gtg on the weekend and it will get a good run there

Yes it can be is you have the parts.
The top handles are still available from Stihl but when I got a price here in Australia I was told $640
Rear handle AV mounts, front AV mount and support etc are all NLA and can be classed as unobtanium.

At that price ahhhhh no.
But I prolly won’t be buying.
Thanks. Looks like the 090GS will get it too.....
I’ll see if I can get a look at one with a pair of calipers........aluminum mills easily.

Great looking saw, hows it held up for you? I'm wanting to do something similar.

Update.

The saw was great and cut twice as fast as an old OEM 090
However the crank seals that came pre installed on the kit saw failed after a few tanks of fuel.
I replaced the seals and it now runs sweet.

I have now pulled the top end and really opened it up, modified an OEM tilly to have a 1" venturi, ditched the choke, further ported the intake neck and block, timing advanced and muffler port matching etc.

I have not put it in timber yet, but will weekend after next in some 090 racing :)
