There will be a charity cut at Mansfield, Missouri on January 26th 2018.
This is an annual work day that a friend of mine has been putting on for several years now.
The wood that is cut will be sold, and the money that is raised from it will go to support missionaries (I am not sure which missionaries it will be this year).
The last cut we were able to cut, split, and stack 26 cord in a day.

This is a family friendly event with lunch provided.

The wood will be cut on a farm, and then hauled about 3 miles to a splitting and stacking area.
There is generally more of a need for splitters than cutters.

If you are willing and able to come and lend a hand and enjoy some good food and pie, then please add your name to the list.

Thank you, and God bless!

The plan is to get started at 9. There will be a few starting at 8, so that there will be some wood hauled to the splitting area by startup time.

Thank you in advance for those who are planning to come!!

Still up in the air.
Yep about the same here. As long as I get out of here without a Mandate I'll be good to go. I've got everything packed and ready with fresh chains though! Got some fresh rebuilds that need some time on them.

Took the splitter out Monday in 20 degree weather. Almost didn't get it started. Had to take the drive belt off and starting fluid barely got it going. Let the engine warm up good, shut off and put the belt back on and still almost didn't get it going again.
20 degrees again this evening. Got a new spark plug put in.
Choked it, spun it a couple of times, switch on and 2 pulls it was running.
Amazing what a new plug will do.
