Lol. None taken. I'd much rather eat these delicacies than lick a dog turd, though. I catch quite a few with my net and my wife makes them in several different ways.

My favorite recipe is salt cured and then added to vinegar and oil with pepper and garlic marinade. When I was a drinker, I used to pair them with a nice glass of my homemade moonshine made from grape must (Tsipouro). Oooooow weee, that's some fine eating, especially a mid afternoon snack. Most people here drink Ouzo with them, but I don't care for the licorice taste.

Those hard shelled thingys are called quahogs. I was a shellfisherman for many years, long ago.

Cool. We call them kudonia (pron. key-done-ya) here in Greece. The best ones are immobile and are buried in the sand. A bit of cleaning to get rid of the sand, but worth it.

They live in the mud and dirt. In the winter when water is cold they go deeper into ground. Ask me how I know. LOL
The quahogs in Northeast are much cleaner and have blue tipped corners.
