There is a new customized saw that was recently built. But I can't say anything about it yet.

Waiting for him to post pictures.

I knew your post would be next Jeremy, good to see it, how are you doing, and what have you been up to???

Here is a pic of my Asian twins I just finished. Actually, my Grandsons (8 + 10) helped me with one of them!

Say what you want about them, but it is nice to be able to work on clean parts inside the house when it is this cold out!

Both have OEM piston bearings and clips. Unlike the first two Cross cylinders, which were quite different from one another, these two almost looked like twins. I like how they sound, and can't wait to get them into some wood.

I'm sure we will see all in the Spring!

I recently learned the girl who lived in the house across the street from me when we were growing up just moved about 5-10 minutes away from your place. I plan to visit her when I come up this Spring. Her brother was my best friend, and we build all manner of go carts, mini bikes, tree forts, etc. We had a nice 3 story tree fort in a big old White Oak tree. It was great! All built with second hand lumber and second hand nails.

I just finished a 660 myself, but has no bearing on this thread.

A few builders come to mind.....

@spencerpaving @Red97 @Lee H
Mine is just some echo junk. It all has build threads somewhere...

Do have some stuff to try. Likely won't be till 2019..

Interested to see what is brewing elsewhere.

Pass the popcorn

Unfortunately the most important picture got deleted from my camera, Not happy.
If I need to take it apart I can retake the pic.
Saw started life as a little 60cc saw. So of coarse not good enough for me. I took a 68cc cylinder
and had it bored 3mm over. With the help of some great friends who have more access to pistons
we found a close match. Cylinder went from 49mm bore to 52mm. So ended up using a piston
from a cut off saw. Had to have some machine work done. About 60 thou removed from skirt
and 20 thou from crown but leaving an off set pop up do to the combustion chamber.
Compression is before initial start up so it is a tad high do to assembly oil. Carb is off a larger
saw but fit perfectly and is about 80 thou larger bore. Muffler is from same friend but I gave it
the extra port on the recoil side. Saw is running and is very snappy, And sounds awesome. Hope
to get time today to give this new 76.5cc saw a run.

What, all that work and it is less than 100 cc!!!! (That is your own quote Lee).

Sounds like a great project. What did it start out being? (likely a 262?)

Looking forward to seeing it at a GTG in the not too distant future.

Ya I know Mike. Not like me to play with a small saw but I thought
this would be interesting and I had a damaged 52mm cylinder to
start with. It's not a 262. I will leave you guys in suspense so keep
guessing.

Looks to be a dolmar 118,120,133?

I know one of em used a 49mm piston.

You have the jug replated Lee?

Nice project indeed.
