OK, Now moving right along.Are bearings for say my 025 available from my local Napa or other auto parts dealers? What about crank seals? I have read about this someplace down the line.Thanks, Ken

Yes and no. Some models.

Stihl likes to make proprietary drive side case bearings with press in OEM seals. You can go to a bearing with less cross section but you will likely not find a seal to fit your retrofited bearing and race pocket.

can replace some oem manufactures bearings.

You can always find out by getting the number off the bearings and seals and asking NAPA or Auto Zone, Oreillys, etc.
