Finally got the chain stuff all set up, bought another cheap grinder so I could set up one for rakers and one to sharpen teeth. They eventually will be replaced with better ones but for now they’ll do
Those yellow grinders are very good, I have one of them & two Oregon 511a's, not much difference in em.
The yellow one has a better stop to keep it from going back up so high.
Honestly thinking I’m going to spring for a stihl usg for my good one later. Shop that went out of business had 6 of them set for different pitches carbide chain ect. Some of those were red instead of orange if I remember right so real old and still working. Only thing I don’t care for on the yellow ones is the vice not the best need to keep an eye on it when doing the .043 picco and 1/4 pitch.
I sharpen lots of small chains for climbing saws along with the 3/8” rs chains for the 362’s and 460’s. They just tried their first ms 150t, nice saw after the muffler is opened up and retuned. They say has its place for sure depending on the tree but if it’s bigger a minimum of a 193t go’s up.
