Carbide chains

[Absolution]

For those of you who have ran carbide chains what brands have you tried and liked as well as those which you didn't like.

I have been running a maya .063 that I had got for $27. It's worked fine for what it is and I did not have any failures like a few others had experienced when I read the reviews.

However I would like to see what else is out there.

Stihl Picco Duro3 & Stihl Rapid Duro3, awesome tooth geometry out the box.

After a year of usage bucking firewood logs my Rapid Duro3 is dull to a point where it will not cut without excessive pressure.
I am kinda trying to figure out how to sharpen it myself, once I do I will get a Duro3 in every bar length I own.

I never had/used any other Carbide tipped chains.

I thought you could sharpen them with one of the spinning things but with a diamond impregnated stones.

Btw, I’ve heard it’s very bad to breath in the dust from the chains of this type

I've used a dimond chainsaw bit on dremel. I use it for both carbide and regular chains in round cause it lasts longer and holds same cutter shape.

I sharpened my Rapid Duro3 free hand with a dremel type grinder, the first attempt yielded good results, the consequent two failed miserably.
I will go back at it, this time with an depth holding attachment on the grinder.
I want this loop back in action, chain stretch was negligible, took a long while to get dull bucking skidded firewood beech and oak logs.

I like 'em.

I know this isn’t carbide but try copy the contour

I tell they guys that I sharpen for hand file all you want but something will get out of wack then bring them to me
