Yeah, but you'll be happy with it when I finally let it go.:)

Lies, lies, lies, I feel like I am constantly being lied to.....

Mastermind - "Yeah, but you'll be happy with it when I finally let it go."

AdirondackStihl - "Shirts are being printed as I type this."

D.A.C. - "This'll only hurt for a little while..."

The wife - "If you let me sleep now, I'll blow you in the shower in the morning."

All a bunch of fuggin' lies.

How different is the 372 intake boot to the 385? Was planning on using a 385 on my 7900 with the rwj carb, but I'm not to that point yet.

If the 385 is the same as a 390. The intake flange is 32mm on a 390. It's 30mm on a 7910. IIRC. I know the 390 xp is 2mm bigger. 372xp is the same as a 7910.

I just got back in from running these saws. I took 3 guys along with me. And we'll here's the out come.
28" bar and smaller the 96° saw was the dominant one. Kinda.
32" and 36" the 98° saw took over.

I run 28" bars on these and for the most part built the saw around that.

But at the end of the day the 98° saw was the pick of the other 3 guys. Although it's not the fastest saw it's more forgiving and easier to run with a heavy hand.

Once they got the hang of the 96 saw they liked it but still liked the 98 better.

Well Carl, if you need any help/tips, just holler. I've become quite the expert on these Solo's.
For instance, I found out most of the bolts respond well to a "Lefty-loosey, righty-tighty" approach.

:hello:
