The 81 intake saw I put a 2° angle on most of the squish band and opened it from .019 to .021" and took my comp from 230 to 210. :)

Don't need all that compression any way. I never tested Matts since my Shrader valves died in my tester. It was 165-170 before

I wanted less. Lol. As neither saw has had over 2 tanks threw it. So that said. My 210 will rise! Lol.

Second saw.....sounds like it's holding higher rpm but not giving up any torque.

Randy you nailed it. This is the saw I dropped the comp on by angling the squish 2°. I epoxied the intake back up to 79°. And before I had the main trans pretty flat and the secondaries pretty steep. I flattened the secondaries so them and the mains are angled up just a little and it's sitting at 96/125/79. now that said that's with pushing a ring up in to get my heights. If you flashlight it the exhaust looks to be at 94. It's still not lacking for torque with a 28" bar and is singing a nice little tune. The 98 saw is a tad torqueier and I think it may show when I strap a bigger bar on but I'm happy with both of these saws right now. :)

At this point I'm in debate whether to tear the slower saw back down. Lol. I did spend several hours today trying to mock up the rwj4 carb on it. Just couldn't find a combo I liked without doing some hacking. And I'm not hacking these saws. I want them to be solid work saws when I'm done!
