Finished up my 461 build a few months back. Got the saw blown up from a friend for free with under 5 hours on it since new. Nothing crazy just a mild port and polish, ported stock exhaust, painted covers, custom starter badge. Being that I'm going to school for mechanical engineering, I had to play around a bit and came up with something I found useful for myself. I only use the saw rarely for personal use, and when I do it's usually for larger trees in the woods or on farms, where I'm lugging the saw 1/2 + miles out. I found after 3 years working at a stihl dealer as well as 2 years with a tree service that this is by far my favorite scrench style. So I designed and 3d printed this scrench holder, it uses the factory handle bolt holes, but with aftermarket countersunk philips head screws. It came out ok the first time, but changes have been made to the file so it fits perfectly the first time with no modifications necessary like spacers or drilling holes bigger. Waiting to print those soon. -3872541970984117110_IMG_0833.JPG

Being that it’s hard plastic, how is retention when when cutting? Espeacially when the saw is horizontal. I see there is a small pin to help with that, just wondering if you have used it enough to tell yet.

Cool setup though
Havent used it yet while regularly cutting, but I did have it on while milling some black walnut and it held up just fine. I was worried at first about that myself, but it turned out to be a nice snug fit. Tight enough to not fall out but not enough to have trouble taking it out. Id like to see if it becomes worn and loose though, but that will come with time and more use
