Hi folks

I have come across a property with lots of nice blood wood and stringy bark.

I went to test saws there and came across some fine looking chunks of timber I plan to return and slab up.

Going to set the 090 up this afternoon with the 50" bar and hope to get into into it over the next few weeks

Both eucalyptus hardwoods
The blood wood has a red sap that looks like the tree is bleeding as it comes out, fingers crossed and a beutiful red timber.

Stringy bark is a light coloured dense hard wood that is fairly common but regarded as good for furnature

If thats WA, I'm guessing @Iron.and.bark would know what it is.

Great picture!

It is karri, extremely strong wood. Has boring grain imho. Was what was mostly milled back in my location before 1900. Has extremely high tensile strength but is termite all you can eat buffet. Now mostly used to make huge pads to sit mining equipment on.
