My boy desided to go off the path in back yard for some dum reason and hit my steel ramps and bent the auger all to crap.

It is dicontinued so not bying a new one. Gonna attemp to fix this one. My idea was to cut the auger at the bend that is the worst and try to restraighten best i can and then weld back togeather.
Any other ideas. I do not have a set of torches. I do have acces if need be.

My blower did something similar. I just cut the section out and ran the darn thing. I hardly can tell the difference honestly. You're probably better off finding a replacement from a snowblower salvage place if you can find one. My local small engine shop has all kinds of blower out back they let me pick over for parts. Good luck.

This is why I take out my sheer bolts every fall and grease the shaft to make sure it spins freely. Then use sheer bolts not any grade bolt I can find laying around. I cringe when guys at work grab grade 8 and tell me they don't want the stupid things breaking.
Anyone have a penny. The lights just went out.

The previous owner must have broke sheer bolts and replaced with machine bolts. Hex head style. The hole the bolt was in started to tear before it broke.

Well heres how it turned out. Looks like it will work. Mabe not the prettiest with a few kinks. Just have to weld it solid and fix the torn hole for the shear bolt ( still got to stop and grab some grade 2 bolts.)
And i also found out i loose too many amps in my shed for welding. Extention cord is too long. Will have to run welder off my generator i guess.

I have worked on some that look worse than that. Good job. Good to hear about kids working hard doing outdoor work for some spending cash.

Last year i was debating bying a brand new blower but kept putting it off and came across an older not running one for 50 bucks. I only used it twice last winter. This year i lost track of how many times i used it. I just cant justify 1000 dollars for something i may only use a couple times a year.

more or less yeah. We have a lathe at work and the old wooden pin for the carriage failed from age. I just carved down a piece of wood close enough the hammered it in there.

I have a BCS two wheeled tractor. If I had a need for snowblower, that is the way I would go. I do have a blade for mine that works in a pinch.
