I am new here I have always had a fascination with chainsaws going back to the 60's and 70's when my grandfather cut wood, in that time I have acquired several saws now that I am starting to have more time to do stuff I am looking at getting some of them running I have decided to start with a couple 40 year old Stihl saws and what I am looking for is a place to get after market bearings and seals any help would be appreciated

I know most will say I would be better off buying newer saws that's no fun

You could try contacting @Definitive Dave on this site, he has an ebay store that strictly deals with chainsaw parts of all kinds. He's a great standup guy!

Best thing to do is determine the part numbers of the parts you need.

I tried a google search and found 9503 003 0310 ,not so good on 9503 003 4440 .In looking at the IPL that bearing is 15x 35x13.5 .Typical German method of attempting to control parts .You can find M13 and M14 widths but M13.5 is a bastard size . So I don't know .5 mm is .0196 or nearly 20 thou .Maybe take a 14 MM width and surface grind it down 20 thou ? Nothing is impossible but some times you have to resort to unusual methods .

Now a little story about German bull headedness .A company named Heller from Germany is or was a machinery manufacture and sold machines to Ford Motor .They made a series called turn broaches that would turn and mill 1/4"of cast iron from a rough crankshaft in one pass .Worked great but the whole damned machine became a nightmare to get those special parts which were all OEM .Heller thought they had them right by the short hairs regarding price and availability . They just reengineered the damned things, used available parts and Heller never sold another machine to Ford .
