Anyone use a beam or log edger to edge their slabs? I was considering buying a cheap one that you can use a 2x4 or 2x6 guide. Timber Tuff seems to make cheap ones. Anyone have any experience with them? I just need to edge slabs that I cant cut through with a circular saw... thanks.

Do you see any advantage to that one vs the other made for a 2x4?
This is the only one I've used. It's adjustable for 2x4 or 2x6. The instructions mention that it will only cut up to a 2x6, which isn't correct. It'll cut a board a mile wide if that's where you screw down the board

Nice. I milled a 24' header for a lean-to I'm building out of a poplar log and got carried away with the thickness. I didnt want to support it in the middle so I thought 2" thick was going to be too skimpy and since 3" was the next increment I might as well round up to 4". Ao now I have a 4" thick 24' long beam that will probably 10-12" after I cut the live edge off. It should do the trick, just going to need the tractor loader to set it!

This chain is way too aggressive. While setting rakers at .035" on the grinder, the depth thumbwheel loosened up and before I caught it, they were down to .045, so I made them all the same

Bla Bla Bla Kubota.

You wont like it, its green, has syncros and begins with D.

The Green Dealership Was the closest when I bought mine. In fact there are still 12 Greens on our place now, but the old country dealer sold out to a National Chain & the Attitudes changed for the worst.

Hence the Color Change.
