Bar profiles

Any one got several different bar brands to lay over and check profiles. I know GB are always thinner in the middle than cannon. Looking for 16"-20" to find a bigger belly and wider tail. Large mount stihl bars work but are a pain with the adapters.

Looking to run 3/8? Stihl bars seem to be the widest unless you get some old school mac or something similar. ...if you want to run 404..... harvester bars are the way to go

3/8". I've seen some sandvik/windsor bars and they look wider but hard to tell. I have a Carlton, oregon, tsumura, and gb already.

The windsors appear wider as the belly is not as straight as others and has more curve but they are not really wider as such. The total/tsumuras appear in the length your looking at as being wider overall with wider tail. Can't comment on the stihl mount standard belly cannons as I don't own any but they look pretty wide. Although I have a cannon fatbelly 25" rollernose (Heavy Bar) but not sure they make those in 16-20". They are also a lot more money! I'd love a fatbelly 16-20" cannon but pretty sure smallest in their 'race' bars is 25".

If you're looking for a bar to work with larger sprockets, start with a long bar, cut it down and mill a new bar slot.

Mike what saw mount and intended for race only with what pin?

20" 16's and 8T is just good ole regular bars.

IMO rollers are not needed.

20" 16's and 8T is just good ole regular bars.

I need one for a 365 and a 7900. Then I'm still not sure what will be a bigger saw. 346 I'm good on with the laser bar. The 7900 will run a 9 Pin. I want to try a 10 on it with a different chain but I don't think that Carlton bar will do. I have the 21" large stihl that will be easier to shape down.

I've ordered 4 bars from cannon to race with. Most blokes ive raced against and this is very minimal use .325 50 gauge bars on there saws. So I got 3x16" bars and 1x 21" bar for 084 to use in post ripping comps. I ordered 2 months ago and backlog at cannon is really high. She said mid October I might see my bars

Yeah they're moving as well. Been waiting on those lightweight bars from them since 2012

Stihl 24" 3003 mount big ES with 13 tooth nose. Chopped to about 18". Runs a 12 pin 72dl without chain flying off.
