I bought a bunch of parts to fix a few chainsaws. I just opened this:

Husqvarna 390 XP 385 Jonsered 55MM Cylinder Piston 2188 2186 544 00 65 02 Item NO: QG38555

https://www.huztl.net/h-product-detail.html?goods_id=402847

The piston pin bore is oval on one side and instead of it being 13MM wide, it is 14MM wide on one side and worse, it is not aligned with the other hole, as seen in the pictures. The pin does not fit in too. I would assume something such as this would not pass inspection anywhere, but, I guess not.

Pretty sad that the Husqvarna OEM piston which had minor scoring and is at least 10 years old, is in better shape then a brand new in the box piston.

Anyone else had any problems like this in the complete saw "kits" that are sold? I see no option other then returning it. I do not think I can buff this defect out.

That's the worse one I've seen.
I have bought dozens of the farmertec
Pistons.
They have been fine no problems.
I had a 372 piston kit come in with a broken ring
I email them and sent photos to a email
Address they give you.
They actually sent me three complete piston kits
For some reason.
I don't care For the rings they haven't lasted long for me.

EBay purchase or off their website?

EBay got you covered. Just file negative feedback.

Online off their website, email the pics and they will send another.

I had a MS180 complete engine that wouldn’t turn over for to a tiny bump in the casting and they just sent another engine. [emoji106]

Replaced the engine ‘pan’ with another so I had a “twofer”.

Well, I sent H an email a few days ago, still no reply back.

I do have a bar from HLS in my shopping cart now, but, no chain. It seems what they carry the most is square chisel. Going to go through a few more projects and finish the Husq 385 and try to add more parts to the bar order.
