Space them back out proper. Use ‘peeps’ from your kids Easter basket as spacers. [emoji108]

Why I refuse to use a plastic caged bearing.

Not throwing a rock here. Quite a few OEM bearings I have used have plastic cages. What is one to do when he needs a proprietary PTO bearing and it only comes in plastic cage replacements from Stihl?
Help me out here. :)

If it's proprietary then there is no other option.
But there are plenty of saws out there where bearings can
be had elsewhere with steel cages.

McCulloch used some bearings for a time that didn't have any cages. They came on some of the early kart engines. They used a larger center roller with a deeper groove and packed more roller balls in, and the outer race was split and relied on the pressure from the bearing seat in the crankcase to hold it together.
