Are Stihl 250 powerheads same as 250C units for repair?

I'm assuming they are but I wanted to make sure. Ebay has numerous powerheads for sale listed as replacements for a 250, but only one specifically listed for a 250 C (and of course it's not Nikasil coated).

One of my sister's kids straight-gassed a like new 250C i gave her a few years ago (traded it for an 038 Mag she couldn't start and use). I'm looking to put an aftermarket in it to repair it for her. The OEM head still runs "ok" but is smoking heavily, plus there's the obvious possibility of lower crank damage from no lubricant.

A complete powerhead unit with crank might be the best way to go given the situation. Lots of those available for "250s", but none of those ads specify any of the 250C, C-B, or Z models.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the issue?

I’d try and clean up the oem cylinder and put a new piston in it rather than use an AM engine or cylinder
