It looks like I will need to do 2 or possibly 3 time serts in a Husqvarna 395 for the top cover. Kits are pricey and I don’t see myself doing more in the future.

I’d pay shipping both ways for the tools and pay you for the inserts

I’d like to do the repair once and hopefully never have to think out it again.

Otherwise, if I buy the kit would anyone be interested in buying it cheap when I’m done lol?

I tried a cheap kit off of ebay. not sure I would suggest them. They work, but thats about it. I found the inserts are really hard to break the tab off of, and fitment isnt perfect. Did the job though

I placed an order for the inserts that need a flat nose screw driver to install and a 6.9mm drill bit.

Of course I for got screws lol.

View attachment 125983 I discovered these Wayne. Not sure if this work but it takes a 5/16-18 tap I believe.

I got some stainless steel ones from McMaster Carr on the way that look like that and the 6.9mm drill bit to go with it. I just hope I have tap at work for it lol.
