Sorry I can't help. I let my last one go about 5 years ago.

I think its a very late 1930's design back when scratcher type chain was used. I think its a semi-auto chain tensioner/lubrication accessory for milling slabs or crosscut. It would be used on the end of a bar that would be driven by an electric motor power head. I'm not sure it would be of any use today with modern saws, bars & chains. But its certainly a rare piece of power saw history that should be held on too as a display relic.

I've never had anything like that or seen one. They're a pretty rare piece.

There is someone somewhere with one. Just got to find them.
Try contacting Jeff Hendricks on eBay. His Ebay name is jwteamp92zp. He has literally thousands of chainsaws and parts. (He has over 7000 items listed on eBay right now).
Also if you do Facebook, there's a two man saw group there that Jeff started.

Now I know what to do with my old floor mats that I replace in my car. We see you have them on your work bench. :)

Its essentially a helper handle with auxiliary oiler and chain adjuster for a 1939 Disston that would run scratcher chain. My guess is it was for the electric power head.

I think both the electric and gas saws had them as all were sold at that time in two-man configuration. I've seen them in old pictures.

The KB-** models except for the KB-7B used that design of tail stock. Earlier models had an open loop at the bottom of the main casting (302-A).
