Being at a GM dealer, I wont be much help as the only non GM stuff I see is the used stuff the other wimmin I work with are afraid of.
I can help with some pics though.

Exploded view of engine.

It appears similar in many ways to the Generals 3.6.
Drain the oil first. Once you get the front cover and pull the pump, coolant will fill up the pan. If you dont drain it first, it will overflow and create a bigger mess.
Then drain again after job is done.

Pump bolt torque according to shopkey is 76-101"lbs.

Do those have a cover gasket, or is it silicon?

@Steve how do you clean off those type surfaces?
I use a razer or sharp scraper to take off the big chunks, then hit it with a fine wire brush on the sealing surface. Cleans it right off, way easier than trying to scrape it all. Doesn't hurt the aluminum either.

Seriously though, i use a fresh razor and red scotchbrite on the stubborn parts. Clean with the rubber patching alcohol i steal from the tire guys.

So..... I been yappin with a fella offline and he has been great at answering any questions Ive had. Thanks Man.

He told me to line up muh chain because there are two lengths chain available. I send him this pic, dl are the same but different spacing between the timing marks. He politely tells me to look at my pic closely. :D I had a moment.:eek:F578D972-63B4-47A9-9059-E93F854B63CA.jpeg
