I never looked at it. I'd be joined to bore it to 56 with a junk jug more than fitti g that top end
Makes sense, wouldn’t have to go through all the pain of getting the base to line up. Just have to eat the cost of replating. Thanks Mike

Has any one ever tried to fit a 394 top end on 288 cases? I was eyeballing it and it would require quite a lot of work but now I’m kinda obsessing. Maybe some of the hybrid builders would be so kind as to weigh in @Chainsaw Jim @mdavlee @srcarr52
Is it worth the squeeze?

I've heard of it being done. I think you have to loose the cylinder extension into the case and let the piston come out of the bore at BDC, there isn't enough room on the gasket surface of the case to bore it for the extension.
