Yeah, seems like a pretty decent gun all around. I really went back and forth on 15ga vs 16ga, but liked the angled design of the 15.

When i was shopping ,i think i bought 1 or 2 at the lumber store ,hard to not buy off ebay though ,can get 2-3 tools for price of 1 local ,the bostich siding coiler i got used ebay ,i sided my house with it cedar shingle and hardiboard ,think it shoots 3/4 up to 2 1/4 inch nails , i have 1 3/4 in there most of the time ,works good for building fences and putting exterior trim on houses also ,The hitachi coiler i have is strictly for 3 tab roofing shingles ,the nails do not work so well for siding .

right place at the wrong time
You also probably have wider shakes than here...eastern white is like maybe 10" down to around 3"...that makes for alot of nails!
The worst part of it was the ends of the shed dormer that's on the house...the rakes on either side are only 16" wide...not alot of room to move, nevermind cutting all the angles on the shakes...*f-word Ing sucked!

22 is on the low end as far as framers go...will drive 16's in 2-3 hits usually

Yeah I might be on crack here haven't been in the market for a hammer in a long time ... The one I use is to beat 16 galvanized nails prolly is a 22 .. Too scuffed to ever read or honestly care ... I do little carpentry anymore but I kinda like pole buildings so I get in on them still
